「エジプトにはポテトがない」という噂を確かめるため、市場で買った小さなポテトと一緒にアフリカ大陸を縦断する旅に出た。どこにでも売っているポテトが、壮大な大陸を切り開く切り札になり得るのか？南アフリカ共和国でバスジャックに遭遇し、ポテトを通してアフリカ人たちとの価値観の相違を探っていく。旅には約7ヶ月を費やし、南アフリカ、ナミビア、ジンバブエ、ケニア、スーダンなど14カ国 を陸路で訪問。途中、秘境の民族にポテトを食べられそうになったり、 乗っていた車が砂漠で横転するハプニングが起きた。

In order to find out if it’s true about Egypt not having any potatoes, Kotaka picked up a potato and went on a trip to the African Continent. Would this everyday potato become the amazement of this big continent? Involved in a bus hijack in South Africa, Kotaka searches for a difference in values through his potato. The trip lasts about 7 months, with Kotaka passing through 14 countries including South Africa, Namibia, Zimbabwe, Kenya, Sudan, etc. Along the way, he not only almost encourages a family in an extremely rural area to eat his potato, but he also somehow managed to overturn his vehicle in the dessert.
